Lots of naked and protective Spike in these chapters, which is always a good thing :-) And thank you for putting in a possible explanation for Riley's awful behaviour, I'm going to hang on to that (and hope he gets help at some point). Good to see that Giles is cool with things though!

Oh Riley... so very, very deep in denial. I really don't get how a thrall is any easier to accept than a vampire turning into a bat.

Spike is so very protective of her, and yet also clings to her for protection, and I LOVE seeing that!

Riley was grasping for a reason why Buffy would be willing to spend so much time with Spike. That's what I think, anyway. :)
