I was wondering, when it comes to the banners that don't get picked for Seasonal Spuffy, could I reach out to the authors and ask to use one (or more) of them for fics I've written/am going to write?

When I announce the winner I also announce which artists did the other banners. You are, of course, free to contact the artist of a nonwinning banner.

Just a heads up, some of the banners might have to be resized in order to work as a fic banner.

Some artists (like myself) put the banner in their seasonal spuffy post and make it up for grabs..

Sure, I think they will be very happy. By the way, last round you were favouring a banner but you weren't really sure it would fit the fic you were writing. I don't know if you have already made up your mind but if you are not going to take it after all, could I please ask the artist if they would allow me to use it? Please don't feel pressured in any way. if you still want it or are still considering it, it's all yours!
