I will definitely finish this! I just don't know when it will happen but I am still trying to find the time to do it. I will either post it on another round of Seasonal Spuffy or on EF as soon as it is finished. Keep tuned in! I am glad you like it!

I went and reread the first chapter before reading these - and my comment to that first chapter. You'd answered me and told me that you'd written twelve chapters already! As much as I understand wanting to wait before posting stuff, I really do hope you'll decide to post everything you've got. It will probably boost your writing to do so, too... :D *crosses fingers*
All that to say that I'm enjoying this and would love to read more. I'm especially curious to see how he'll go back to the Scoobies (BECAUSE HE'S GOING BACK TO THE SCOOBIES, RIGHT???), and how his interactions with them will change, and how he'll suffer to see that Dawn isn't there yet... this is all so interesting. Definitely hope to read more of it! Thanks for sharing!

Yes, he will go back to Sunnydale and meet Buffy! I have indeed more chapters written but my huge problem is that whatever follows now will not leave them in a happy place. Buffy is in a relationship with Riley right now and late season 4 is actually the time they were the happiest together according to canon. Also, the Scoobies hate his guts and - as you said - Dawn isn't there. It won't be easy for poor Spike and I don't want to post a chapter which ends devastatingly as long as I don't know if and when I will be able to post more happy chapters too.

Oohhh I see... well OK, that's perfectly sound reasoning, now that I think about it. Thanks for your consideration of our poor lil' Spike-loving hearts haha. Still, whenever you'll have the time/opportunity to get back to writing, just know I'll love to read more, painful feelZ and all. :)
And besides, I'm just incredibly curious to see the Scoobies' reactions to discovering that he has a soul, and one he's gotten for himself and is a tad more permanent than the Brooding One's. I don't know how long it'd take him to tell about it/if it would take ages for them to accept it as true, but the idea really intrigues me. Especially with how differently they treat Angel than Angelus, it'd be hella interesting to see them apply that same logic here.
In any case, thanks for sharing!
