I liked Spike's war cigarettes.

The good fight is what they do. And Spike's "cigarettes" are multipurpose! You can stake tiny vampires with them! Also, if he can't have burning embers next to his face, he might as well carry a bunch of splinters around to show he's not afraid, right?
