Medically, it's not great to lose 10% of your body weight. Riley's body isn't handling things as well as Buffy's, but they're both in the range of expected responses, and if they take what their bodies are saying seriously they should be fine. And this is pretty survivable for an average human without tons of athletic training.
So yeah, they'll both be fine. They're getting reasonable treatment and no one is ignoring the problem.
I liked the description of the possessed house, and Xander and Spike's version of teamwork was really funny! I guess "book dodging" really is exactly what Xander does during research sessions. :D
Wow, it took me ages to finish this last part! Sorry for being so late with commenting.
It was even less Spuffyish than I already expected, but nevertheless an enjoyable read. The teamwork was fun! I loved Giles and the girls keeping the ghosts distracted by getting books thrown at them.
