OMG - *flails* I can't even.... tears, smiles, hoping like crazy he made it through in this world... (which, if I accept comic canon - yay!). This was wonderful. And how totally wonderful is it that you have art work to go with it?

Awww...what a beautiful ending! Buffy made her breakthroughs again...so funny how we all have to keep learning the same lessons over and over in life. There's a sadness and beauty in that. And I'm so glad that she and Dawn are on the mend, too. And Spike...he better darn well be alive...that's all I have to say. *grins* Thanks for sharing this with us!

Life is cyclical, I think, and we all have our blind spots. They don't magically go away just because of a single moment of revelation, as I'm sure you're aware. I like to think of Buffy learning the tools to actually deal with her shit, though, rather than just fumbling from one revelatory moment to another. I like to think that's what I started to give her here.

This is such a powerful story, I am reduced to Tumblresque flailing. I love Bridget, and the relationship between her and Buffy. And I love the depiction of Buffy's grief -- there are a lot of post-Chosen stories where Buffy's portrayed as grieving extravagantly for Spike, and I can never really see that. It's just not Buffy. But this is: the girl whose grief is like sea-ice, holding back an ocean of sorrow.

Waaaaaaaah, this is so great. I do like Bridget a lot, and all the descriptions of Buffy's grief: she is absolutely a lumpy, scarred mess. Of course, now I want the sequel. Or, actually, you've completely given me an idea for the emotional story of something I've had in the pipeline (probably not for this Seasonal Spuffy, but generally), where I couldn't work out what Buffy's story was at all...

I do have an idea for a sequel, in fact, but this one took so long to produce (a year!) that I just want to enjoy it being finished for a little while before I think about its continuation.
