Somehow I'm not surprised that Bridget wants to die. I can't believe she was going to leave Buffy on her own!!

Seeing as I've probably flooded your inbox with my blathering and wafflefest I'll turn my attentions to the art! Holy sweet crap bewilde have mercy! Damn that's how I should have done the Aurora! This is breathtaking and so incredibly vibrant! I really love how she's reaching out both physically and in spirit to the one who holds her joy...This drawing just completely captures the scene so beautifully!

This sentence has stayed with me all week. I know exactly what you mean, but I've never heard it described before. Of course it would be a reminder to Buffy. It probably unconsciously aligns Bridget with Spike when her secret comes out.

The artwork is amazing in this chapter. Excellent!

Thank you, and yes. Bridget was designed originally as a sort of Spike stand-in, with similar mannerisms, cadences of speech, etc. It was intended as an unconscious provocation to both Buffy and the reader, so I'm a little bit thrilled that you pointed that out :)

Isn't the art gorgeous?! Something else I am thrilled about :D
