OMG - I have tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. Can it just stop now?

This is the best chapter so far...it made me cry, especially knowing where this is coming from. . . I've felt it, too. . . cried like this. Yes. *wipes tears*

I think catharsis is the thing Buffy avoids like the plague, because she just has so much to grieve for that she's worried if she started she'd never stop. Poor Buff :( But you can't keep it in forever.

I’m composed entirely of sorryness.

This is so Buffy. She is sorry. But she's a lot of other things, and can never be entirely any one thing anymore. Her inability see and deal with Andrew's problems - too like her own - is utterly believable. It's so interesting that when she reaches back into her arsenal for the above remark, it surprises her with the truth: she lost her man. Oh, Buffy.

Beautiful work.

Inside, she's like a little rage monster with a thousand tentacles, one for each emotion that she doesn't know how to handle, thrashing around and inadvertently hurting people along with herself :( She never did have a lot of sympathy for other people's depression and suicide attempts, and I always figured that it was because it was too close to home.

Thank you.
