First of all, everybody deserves comments, especially after offering the comm with a delicious post. There's so much work behind the scene it needs to be acknowledged.

Secondly, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Read it out of sequence, since I haven't read any of the previous 25 chapters, but it makes me happy to read about Buffy and Spike working together like a well-oiled machine.

Also curious about the other Giles, the brother. Does he have a first name (or do all Gileses go by family name only)? :)

So how embarrassing is it that I went back to chapter one (I like to begin at the beginnings) and thought oh, this is good, I haven't read this before....and noticed that I commented on chap 1 in 2012.

Ah the joys of short-term memory. *LoL* Anyhoo I shall work my way back to the current chapter (that's the plan anyhow.)

I finished through chapter 6 last night - more, please? I like how unexpected the reunion is to what I usually see - it's almost anticlimactic. I imagine there will be hugs and kisses and conversation (and a punch in the snout) later on, but right now it's still "get to business" time which is so true of the buffyverse in general.

And I love that Buffy isn't falling all over herself her, either; and that she and Spike go right to work battling baddies - TWO heroes doing what they do best.

Dawn continues to be delightful and Andrew - annoys me for all the reasons he annoyed me in S7. Which means your characterization is spot-on.
