Setting the not so good old days. Despite first appearances, very much not an all-human AU.
A/N Blame Gill for how this turned porny. I was going for a romp, mostly, before she nudged me a bit. Anyway. I'm not sure it was ever going to make much sense.

The Bazaar? she asks suspiciously. Is this a stealth Fallen London crossover? (Buffy vs. the Masters would be something to see...)

Not deliberately. And yet if playing a pseudo-Victorian RPG for months on end had some kind of effect, it might be this one.

Though it's really Regency set, and the Bazaar is the Pantheon, though you don't at all need to know that without close reading of Georgette Heyer.

It makes perfect sense and I love it. The only thing that could have made me love it more (in a shamefaced sort of way) is if they'd noticed Angelus and Darla dancing together at the party.

But that would have been really silly and artificial, so I'm glad you didn't do it.

I suspect they may have been avoiding the green demon. He's quite a tedious type. Or else, following Napoleon around, for the delicious devastation.

I just have this thing about Darla in an empire line frock.

Oh, I like! You managed to combine time travel, regency romance, and Buffy! Funny and plotty and sparkling-- I love it!

And I'm deeply amused and Spike not wanting to get married. It's believable, but so not the common choice in fic. Really enjoyed this one!

*g* Thank you! It's a funny little thing, but glad you liked it.

And honestly? Spike? With the attitude and the bleach and the skull ring? And the lacy dress/big cake/church vows? It doesn't follow entirely logically.

In what way is it my fault? Though I like the effect, I must say.

Nice Regency details, though more Spike in tight pants would have been a bonus. Though the fly buttons would have been a problem. (Did they call fall fronts "flies" back then? Inquiring mind needs to know.)

It was a passing remark about something-kink for Seasonal Spuffy, and it led directly to the anteroom scene, adding smut to my planned nice clean farce. So thank you!

I don't like those Regency trousers; all weirdly shaped and bulky as well as startlingly revealing at times. I don't think they'd suit Spike (and suspect he knows it).
