This makes me want more of your writing! I love your voices. I too think this could be canon, and fitb is always welcome to me.

You captured Spike's changing moods perfectly, as well as his insanity on the edge of reason. Your description of Buffy's willingness to touch Spike while being unwilling to be touched brought to life a meta-concept that I've always seen but have never crystalized so perfectly.

It's funny but I don't remember consciously thinking about the touching thing before in that way. When I write in character, it's like things I understand are expressed for the first time.

It's funny because I started writing a season 7 fic for this round that addressed the same thing, so I was thinking about it, but then I put that on hold for now.

Awww! But--but--it's all LONG AND EPIC. I didn't force it this time 'cause I couldn't get started and then I ran out of time. I don't want to screw it up!

But it's on my list to do, promise. It's my plan for the spring. I've finally learned patience when it comes to writing long, plotty fic. Far better to plan it out and try to finish it before posting.

Also, right now, I'm panicking about Yuletide. Are you doing that? I think it'll be fun!

How long and epic? I have long and epic on constant Slow burn (Best Intentions-new chapter this week if you read), but this should be maybe 6-7 chappies I think. Long and epic is exciting! Way too little long fic lately.

Smart. Good thinking. I am willing to wait.

Long like at least 20,000 words. So not my longest epic really, but it'll be my second longest fic after TYSK.
