Time To Rest: Chapter One

Oct 22, 2010 11:00

Rating: PGish now. Maybe going up later
A/N: Follows "Beneath You" and going mostly AU after that. Oh, it will stick with the basic theme of Season 7, but more focused on what Joss started in the chapel scene and then just left hanging. Darn you, Joss!
Posting this part for now. A second part later in the day, and I'll do my best to get more chapters ( Read more... )

Intriguing start. I love stories that bring AtS into equation.

I didn't want to ignore the fact that Angel was around and could be in this picture. I kinda thought they were missing a bet by not making the souled!Angel/souled!Spike connection earlier in Season 7.

Thanks. I actually started writing this before I'd finished S7, which is why I'm taking things in a different direction. I liked S7, but I think there were some other places they could have gone.

I'm such a sucker for a good season 7 AU!

Interesting beginning. Buffy calling Angel is an interesting twist, and it emphasizes just how ;far from each other they've grown.

Thanks for the comment. That's exactly what I was trying to get across with the call to Angel. In my view of this 'verse, he hasn't even told her about Cordy yet. No real way to work that into the story, but that's the background in my mind.

Very intriguing! It makes total sense that she would call Angel. I'm really looking forward to seeing where you take this.

Good. Prevailing opinion seems to be calling Angel was good. Glad you all agree with me. ;)
