Sigh. I keep thinking that Buffy will see the sweet side Spike's showing her, but I think she has too many other issues now to want to deal with romance, regardless of who it's from. Poor Spike.

*nods* Yes, all the issues and she's too preoccupied with them and the strangeness of her life (and her body) to really see him. And that's her journey: seeing him and letting him and Dawn in her heart.

Giles must always have the jellies!

The Buffy&Giles hospital moment and the Spike/reluctant!Buffy crypt moments were both very well done.

It's very Twilight Zone-y to have Joyce around for this vs. Dawn. (Not bad, just- my canon! It's it's confused!) Buffy throwing donuts (indirectly) at Spike is ♥.

(Haha, I hear you about canon. I was trying to subtly hint at the idea that the timeline's changed because of the monk's spell being different. There's a fanwank that speculates that Joyce gets a brain tumor because of the magical alteration of her memories. If there's no memory spell, the balance of her mind wouldn't be upset, then she wouldn't get sick.)
