Very sad take on one way it could go. I especially liked the "Spike hovered on the outskirts" and "tried to guide her" bits.

Not loved. But needed. Almost as good.

This seems like an essential part of his yearning to me. He needs to matter.

Also, the question of just which kiss is the first one always interests me...

Lovely drabbles. I like all three of them. The first two angsty with sadness and the last one lovable.

"Then hands clasped, she said it.
Smiling, he raised his face to the heat and welcomed burning to save them all."

A great way to explaning Spike's smile.*hugs*
