Thank you, ma'am. I can see her maybe coming around to seeing Spike's attraction to her as a not-completely-disgusting thing until she returns to his crypt. Hoo-boy. Earning a girl's trust after you've incorporated her thong into a stalker shrine is a hard row to hoe indeed.

This reminds me of the Chinese slayer's "Tell my mother I'm sorry." It's as if, even though they are slayers, they are still just girls seeking mommy's approval.

I love Joyce, but every time I watch the scene where she and Willow convince Buffy to go back to Spike's crypt, I talk back to the TV about what terrible advice they're giving her. Don't do it, Buffy! There's nothing down there you wanna see, girlfriend!
