+ All icons must fit LJ standards; under 40kb, 100x100, and in .gif, .png., or .jpg format. Animation is not allowed.

THEMES [10]: blue, daylight, negative space, season premiere, stretch, gradients, smile, guess who, season finale, tears.
CATEGORY [05]: valentine's day. all icons in this category must be inspired by the holiday. it doesn't have to be shippy (if you don't want it to be), it can be heart-shaped templates or textures, red in color, etc.
ARIST'S CHOICE [5]: Self-explanatory.
NEGATIVE SPACE: the focus of the icon should take up less than 50% of the icon space.
GRADIENTS: specifies a range of position-dependent colors, usually used to fill a region.
GUESS WHO: the crop should make it difficult to see who is in the icon. this could be done by a character being turned from the camera or cropping the icon in such a way that the face is only partially visible making it harder to recognise the character.
Feel free to edit the table if you so desire. IF FOR WHATEVER REASON THE TABLE DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU, FEEL FREE TO MAKE YOUR OWN TABLE OR NOT USE IT AND JUST PUT THE WORDS ABOVE THE ICONS.
