Shakespeare's special day

Apr 23, 2005 15:07

Ms. Ferguson, who taught high school AP English, told us that Shakespeare was born and then died on this date- April 23. For some reason I think this is the day that I was supposed to be born on too (I was premature) so today is "special" somehow I think.

I loved the number 23 for so long (Michael Jordan has nothing to do with it) and April, despite being "the cruellest month" is also nearly sacred in my way of understanding the world. Even still, I do believe the Universe hates April. April marks something about this world of ours that I think many people are beginning to finally name and possibly appreciate. I am very interested to learn more about the film: "Sometimes in April" (http://www.hbo.com/films/sometimesinapril/).

There's a rumbling going on in this hollow place in my belly - since 11 this morning, I've tried to fill it with candy, ice cream, liquor, breads, gummy candies and nothing seems to work... (imagine that!) I suppose real food will have to be my next course of action. I slept nearly the entire day yesterday. Many hours of which was in the tub. I find myself resorting to past very bad habits and it depresses me. We didn't make it out to the show last night that I'd planned for us. Besides my lack of motivation, Bill said quite plainly that he too, cared not to move last night. I imagine tonight will be the same: little movement anywhere by either of us.

I resumed with the meds today...yay me.
