I didn't ask about yours! How was Chicago - wasn't it this weekend too??
Here's a little blurp I enclosed in a note yesterday:
-My Dad was very surprised by our visit (we got to my grandparents' place when Dad and Sharon were out...when they returned we had Adele in the window dressed in her party clothes and they were giddy to see her). He was very proud to be with his granddaughter at the party -My brother was very sweet to my family and made me love him so much more -I bid $25 on a stick of deer bologna at the Family Auction and won - oh the red neck hillbilly in me -The party was at the Nashville Fire Hall and it was freezing rain when we left -My Dad and Sharon apparently volunteered to match whatever was raised at the auction and donate the same amount to Fisher House, one of the programs helping military families - I was impressed. -My 70-some year old Uncle Amos (who is married to my Aunt Treva) dropped his cane and when he leaned over to pick it up, he let a loud and long one rip (I don't think he knew it) - my section of the family (Dad Sharon, Ben, Austin, Aunt Lin and me) lost it for a good 10 minutes - I felt awful but it was freaking hilarious! -Sunday we had a smaller party at my Aunt lin's house where we exchanged gifts and ate party leftovers - it was really nice. - I felt a little insecure because people made fun of me for taking so many pictures but I got over it later -Then there was a woman, I have no early memory of, who said I've held a place in her heart since she met me as a baby...will have to share more on that soon. -a few more details that I'll save for a personal note to you!
