It was the last real week of taking kids to and fro. I have to say, I'm really going to miss it. Crazy and hectic as it can be, I really find it to be satisfying rather than frustrating. I like saving the day. I like being there for them. I could use a day off but the camp finishes altogether in just five days and I'll be back again staying with family in six days, so I can't complain. I'm just going to enjoy every last minute of it until it's over and then I can rest. :)
Interesting tidbits from this week:
- On Wednesday, I took kids from three continents to see a baseball game. It's not everyday I can say that.
- Yesterday, I ran to the airport when I found out that the flight of three of the kids had been postponed by several hours and they were stuck there trying to deal with the situation themselves (with their limited English). Upon arrival, the tears were wiped away, flights were rebooked, meal vouchers were redeemed and luggage was found. (The day was saved...hooray!)
