Christmas Eve:
Calia, the 2-yr-old I babysat, was AMAZING! She is potty trained, and the smartest little girl I've ever met! She actually wanted to sit and read books, instead of watch TV. She could talk in coherent, complete sentences. Instead of curbing the raging-hormone induced "I want a baby"-thing, it encouraged it. Whoops. My plan backfired.

After she was picked up, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Sears' house. Everyone was there. Cassie was inappropriate as usual. After presents, I hid in the kitchen so as to avoid people... there may have been some wine consumption. Maybe a lot. Then we went home, and I tipsily read "Twas the Night Before Christmas," before bed.

Christmas:
Cassie woke me up at 6:00. She yelled downstairs to wake our parents up... that didn't work. By 8:00, she and Arick were ready to stage a present-opening coup. So I called my parents to say "Hey, get up!" We did the present thing. I guessed what my "big" present was, and am SOOOOOOOO excited! I got an electric keyboard, which is something I've wanted for years. I can now play "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." Yes, I am very nearly the next Bach.

We then went to Grandma and Grandpa Hafner's house. After some small talk, grandma insisted that we "get this present crap over with." So we did. Then my 8-yr-old cousin decided we should play Hannah Montana. She got a wig and CD, so she got to be Hannah (go figure.) I was told to be the dancer. This turned into her telling me to pick her up, put her on my shoulder, spin around, then put her down. Dear god.

We went home, I played the same song OVER and OVER. Then we watched the third POTC. I stayed awake this time. And had my desire to become a pirate reawakened. Too bad modern pirates aren't nearly as cool as those of old.

Yesterday:
Woke up at a decent time (noon counts, right?). I did a lot of nothing all day. Ana and I drove around for a while. We rented a movie, which we're going to watch today, after Obama. Boy-thing talked to me after I got home (midnight-ish). We hung out in the sauna. It was so warm! I am more at a loss, as to what to do. I can't even blame him. He just invited me. I could've said no. *SIGH*

Today:
So far, I have reflected upon the past few days. I remain mostly satisfied with how things have gone. Even with boy-thing, even if confusion deepens.
