I finally finished a sample fixture for the LED Puck. It took a bit longer than expected to machine the aluminum base since I messed up the first two attempts and had to scrap them (one was nicely mangled when it popped out of the lathe collet during a cut). My next machining class will start to cover CNC programming where I'll learn how to set up a machine that could mass produce these metal parts. The rod is acrylic with bubbles embedded in it.
