last night as i took my usual walk with my puppy, she broke free of her leash and chased a motorcycle. she got hit, and was sent spinning into the air. poor thing, she just looked up at me with those big eyes as if she was asking me why this happened. she must have wondered why i ran away from her, but i went to get a towel to stop the bleeding. i ran all the way home, yelled for jamie to get a towel fast...ran back. the neighbors of that area had heard the commotion, and had come running to help...they took us both to the animal hospital.we couldn't find the one we were looking for and prairie was closed. we sped all the way to post falls. the whole way i held her and tried to calm her...she scared me, her blood was all over my shoulder.
she is fine now, nothing but minor bruises and a sore jaw from hitting the bike, but she is still getting over the shock. she was well enough to go home with john for the day. i've never been more scared in my life.
