uhg, i'm a skiier, but it's still fun.
okay, so friday night i went out to this awesome club called mirasol or something for gabe's birthday. swanky to the max.
then got in a huge argument with people of the patricich nature. then worked it out. then went over to meet carsten at one of his typically awesome house music warehouse parties.
numa and stephanie came from Berkeley and brought their friend who had been in a mma (like ufc) fight earlier and won because the guy he was fighting kicked his knee. the guy broke his leg trying to kick (i think his name was matt)'s knee. matt's knee was completely untouched. awesome. so we all get down and have a good time there. there was a water bottle on the ground and so we started kicking it back and forth while inventing moves. my favorite was the shopping cart. push, grab, read, place. unce unce unce.
then the circle grew as people joined. fun fun. only about 9 at max.
then a drunken me stumbled over to patty's and slept for a whole hour and a half before driving up to kirkwood with kris josh and andy.
[we were trying to look cold, but as it turns out trying to look cold also looks like trying to do my impression of a retarded chipmunk.]
then we boarded all day and it was good.
i was starting to go the hang of it better then before, but once we started going on the blacks i was eating it left and right. still fun. i like skiing better, but at the same time i want to figure it out. at the end of the day i noticed i was only looking like 10 feet in front of me and when i'm skiing i look all the way down the mountain, so when i started doing that my body naturally started following. kinda like turning corners on a car. if you look to the furthest point you'll just go there. anyways, it was on the last run that i realized that so i'll give it a shot next time.
the snow was pretty nice. they had the blowers going. there was some ice, but not too much at all. oh, and we made it all the way there and back without chains and without getting stuck.
(p.s. i finally got a camera.)
