i saved latin what did you ever do?
i also met the guys from spoon and had a drink with britt the lead singer. mhmm thats right. emily had the brillant idea to wait around after the show and see if we could meet them. we did! they were really really nice. britt and the keyboardist, eric, were talking about going to a bar afterwards and they wanted us to tag along. we met them there and what an amazing night. their performance wasnt all that impressive but they did two encores. once britt walked in the door of the bar he said hi to a few people than came right over to us. we sat down at a booth with him and talked about his career and music. hes 34 and we didnt really have much to say. emily and i were pretty shocked. then this guy john came and sat by us and asked similar questions. he was nice too. johns friend andrew then came and sat by us. britt went to the bar again and the drummer and keyboardist came in. emily and i talked with john and andrew for a little bit. sorry if this is too detailed but i dont want to forget it. andrew reminds me of beck. not the way he dresses but his face. he has a silly mustache though. he skates and used to for let it ride before they closed. we exchanged numbers and i think emily and i might be going to lawrence tonight cause he invited us to a party there. his mustache looks like its fake. hes 22. nice to meet someone my age. the other guys have either been a couple years older or younger. before the show i got to hang out with my friend nick and we ate some damn good mexican food. at the show i saw an old let it ride friend named jason. he lives in chicago now and i wish i wouldve gotten his number so i could have someone to see when i visit that lovely city. life is pretty fucking amazing right now. we didnt say bye to britt or eric but im glad we got to hang out with them. thats good enough for me. enjoy the weather.
