its firefly season

i have hardcore poison ivy from being in my woods barefoot. between my toes and all over my left foot, making shoes impossible.
im just impatient to be able to walk okay again. i have plans for a new treehouse that i will hopefully screen in and put a waterproof roof over, that way i dont have to mess with the impractical tent anymore.
sleeping in the hammock lately. breathtaking.

this evening, ive been spinning out poetry like never before.
lately ive been going through all my writing. hopefully by my birthday (the 13th) i'll have a bound book of short stories and poetry giving insight into the past year or so of my life. (minus some beautiful poems in notebooks left in charleston.)

i wrote on here months ago that i wanted to write a series of poems detailing a whole relationship as tim kasher did for album of the year.
im almost done.
justin and i's short but sweet relationship in free verse. so far i love it. (actually, i started with the end, and am working my way backwards.) Hopefully my relationships with adam and matt will eventually be similarly recorded.

going to beaufort to see the tall ships tomorrow. can't wait.
when i was younger i wanted a sailing ship like one of those. so i could sail all over the world, see beatiful places, and get to know different cultures, make friends all over the world, take people with me in my travels, and generally escape america.

i found a fortune cookie while cleaning my room the other day that said, 'Follow your childhood dreams.'
i hope i never betray myself, but judging by my life so far, its not looking very good. reminds me of the switchfoot lyrics, 'between who you are and who you could be.'
still, my dreams havent changed much, and i have fulfilled some of them to certain extents. only time will tell.

finished another vonnegut. verdict: God Bless You, Mr Rosewater, and Slaughterhouse-Five are amazing. Slapstick and Galapagos are less so. Tackling piano-player tomorrow.
