So apparently my dad posted on fb that he was proud that I donated my hair to Locks of Love, which wouldn't be a problem unless it was on facebook.

Okay I'd admit, I like telling people about it, that I did something good but putting it on fb, that is more like bragging and I don't want to brag. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm bragging when I tell people about it (which is if we are talking about my haircut, I don't exactly start a conversation with saying ' Hi, I donated hair to Locks of Love about a week ago')

Oh, and he could have said it to my face. Granted I haven't seen him in about two weeks, which means he hasn't even seen my new haircut but you know saying it over the phone isn't that bad of an idea.

My relationship to my dad isn't the best at times but I'd thought he knew me well enough to know that I'd appreciate it more if he said it to me directly instead of putting on the internet.

I probably sound really whiny right now but I wish he’d just told me, it feels so impersonal to say it over the internet (and I’m a bit embarrassed, probably because we haven’t really talked about it and then he goes and makes this announcement on fb, wait, I’m making it to a bigger deal out of this than it really is again aren’t I?)
