This is why I need a beta. This has been sitting on my hard drive since Hikago Day and I never posted it because I can't decide if it's actually funny or not. It doesn't even have to be funny, it just has to make sense! DOES IT EVEN MAKE SENSE? This vicious circle of doubt has been eating away at a corner of my soul for a month and a half. Thus, subject line. Thus, posting and TO HELL WITH IT.
Title: Attach and Block
Characters: Hikaru, Akira, Waya, Isumi. Akihika.
Rating: PG, for some implied hanky-panky.
Summary: ~110 words. Shindou and Touya tell Waya and Isumi. Touya does something unexpected.
A/N: I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THIS ONE, GUYS. DX I really fail at Go metaphors. Like, a lot.
"Come on, like they haven't been at each other's throats since they were twelve," Waya comments to a somewhat stunned Isumi. He turns to Touya and stares at his garish turtleneck, a taunting smirk quirking his lips. "Just now there are marks to prove it."
Hikaru might have thrown all of his french fries in Waya's face if not for the way Touya laughs then--the clear, straightforward sound paired oddly with a faint blush--and the way this newer, more relaxed persona leaves Waya gaping, open-mouthed.
Take that, Hikaru thinks smugly, and he leans so that his shoulder bumps lightly with Touya's, congratulating him on the superb tsuke-osae.
