I love it when you write. It's so pretty even when it's sad.

Now please be less sad, because there are peoples that loves you if nothing else.

Yes, this life is purgatory. That makes sense.

I think, in this life, we're constantly moving in and out of it, through heaven, hell and purgatory. I think some of it is voluntary (reaping what we sow) and some of it is involuntary (a purification process that the universe has puts all of us through). I think that "enlightened" masters/teachers (or saints) voluntarily chose a purification process/path whereas the rest of us have it hoisted upon us involuntarily through trials and tribulations.

Just my thoughts (theories) gut instincts. Gut thoughts, maybe?

Sometimes all the love and support surrounding us has a hard time shining through the veils. I hope you know we all want you to seek refuge with us, whenever you feel really small, failed or miserable, hiding under wings open for you. They always are. Sometimes success is not measured by what we do ourselves, but by how we reach out for, or accept, what support we need. Being human is not a life sentence's worth of solitary confinement.

Thanks for this.

Do you think it helps to think of depression as a thing (rather than a process or something like that)? Serious question - I don't know the answer!

you're welcome?

also, in my case, i have what they call a "chronic relapsing condition", which to me makes it a thing, like an entity. but it also moves, so therefore it's a process too. does that make sense?

Yes, that makes a lot of sense, thanks. But may I please follow up? ... Are you saying it IS a thing, or that that's what you find the most helpful way of thinking about it? (I hope this question makes sense!) Thanks.

no i'm not saying it IS a thing, i think it is a condition or set of conditions that get experienced as a thing.
