Accomplishing things
Well, today was a pretty nice day. For starters, Kayla's Baby Shower was a complete success. Then I went to work at Toys R Us, and they sent me home, which was alright, then I went over and mowed the Ecker's Yard. I'll go into more details on each in a bit.
I helped set up a few of the last details at the baby shower. People started showing up at 11, which was when it was scheduled. I talked with Laurie and Lynette a bit about a family get together. We now have an official date for our family Reunion. Saturday August 4th, 2012. I just made a facebook event and invited a few people. I plan on spreading the word orally as well. Anyway. There were a lot of doughnuts at the party, I ate a ton of them. haha. I started taking pictures when we were playing a game that involved safety pins and rice. - There were little safety pins mixed in a container of rice, the object is to, with out looking, take out the safety pins from the jar. I only got one, and Cheri got 4, she was the winner. The game was a lot harder than it looked. We also had another game where you have a safety pin, pinned to you, and if you cross your feet or your legs, who ever catches you, gets your pin. Well, I gave mine up right a way to Kayla.
After the pin and rice game, Kayla started opening presents. I took quite a few photos. Half way though, Isabella caught Kayla crossing her feet, so Kayla had to give up her 4 or 5 pins she had. Isabella won that event. There was a very good turn out at the shower today. Got to talk with quite a few relatives.
After the shower, I went home to get ready for work, went back over to grandma's house, because our water here isn't working, it stopped working this morning, I don't have any clue why it stopped. My mom is looking into it, and possibly having somebody look at it on Monday. Anyway, I took my shower, and left for work. Turns out, they didn't need or even expect me to show up today. I had requested Friday and Saturday (today) Off for Sweeney Todd, and they scheduled me anyway. Well, I spoke with Chris, and he said he would fix it, and I could take Friday off. So I thought I still had work today, which I did, but they were over hours, and weren't expecting me, so I went home. Gladly.. Really, I was tired of working... So what did I do?! I went and mowed at the Ecker house. Only took a few hours to do.
I called James, and he was in a meeting, so I called back to hear how things went. Well, he doesn't sound as relaxed as he did yesterday. So it seems like it was still a set back. He could be in there for a little while. He still wants to save everybody's world. But I hope he realizes that he needs to save his first, and that other people like their world the way it is, with out somebody messing with it. So, I'm pretty disappointed about that. I really hope he doesn't stay this way.
