Today is the Day the Conductor Will Learn and Remember my Name

Another morning
And it tears up my eyes
After this night of mourning
It's an awkward surprise
To be met with the brown sun
In this dull weathered place
And you'd think I'd know someone
Amongst these sallow faces

We're no strangers to sorrow
And regret knows us by name
Here we cheat and we borrow
We steal all of your blame

So for us sinners
Whom you scorn and you mar
We trade in our Last Dinner
For this war that's not ours
And I'll sleep in hunger's book
After tracing these lines
And I'll wait for your passing look
As I run out of
