No turning back

I got the phone call today from the large law firm that I interviewed with (and did not previously work at) in Saskatoon. Apparently, they want to hire me (provided that my references check out).

So, with that information, I decided to talk to the firm about my plans to move. Everyone was really good about it. They are sad to hear that I am planning on leaving, but they understand. The people I work with said they'll give me good references.

I'm kind of sad, excited and scared. I'm sad because the firm has been really good to me and there are great people here. I'm excited because I'll be back in Saskatoon, close to family and near friends. I'm scared because I don't know what to expect going back (particularly if I go with the firm that has made the offer) and I'll have to start fresh.

Anyway, I've been largely unproductive all day because I've been wound up about this firm calling me. They actually had two people call me today, the managing partner and the partner who works in my practice area. They are definitely the leading candidate right now for my services, so I'm glad that they came through.

Expected date of move is sometime in Spring.
