Incredibly successful open mic! Me saying "This is going to be a regular event - come back in two weeks!" and a completely packed room of people CHEERING. Like, how will we even do this? There is so much talent and such actual diverse types of talent just bubbling up here, looking for outlets & audiences.
It's exhilarating. I'm tired. I am going to get some leads on some furniture tomorrow.
Also, I read my own poetry in front of a crowd for the first time in a long time tonight. Not really crowd-appropriate. Also not really well put-together, quite.
