A while back
sacredspud and I hatched this plot to check out the
Midnight Madness showing of Rocky at the end of this month
here in Chicago, and try to bring along as many interesting parties as possible. There's a Friday night show on the 28th, so this shouldn't interfere with anyone's VD plans. I'm also trying to get several people in the area to come check it out with us, so it could turn into one big ol' party!
The very idea of attending shows two nights in a row completely boggles my mind and threatens to test the limits of my stamina. If any of you are up for the challenge, there will be a new venue to experience, as well as a place to crash once it's all over -- although I have to warn you, bring sleeping bags and pillows! I promise to feed you all in the morning -- just give me some orders and I'll try my best to accomodate. ;)
Speaking of big ol' parties, something pretty cool happened this weekend, but I'm far too tired to talk about it just now; much better to just get all the pictures resized and uploaded to show you rather than try to explain it all. But I can summarize in a number and two words: 605 attendees. Booyeah. And, if anyone was worried about the venue for next year given the things I said yesterday, we're totally locked in for next year, mid-to-late April.
[EDIT - Preliminary Galleries (names subject to change)]
I have a few galleries up. I spent HOURS last night tossing out unusuable photos and video. I only got through the Thursday and Friday pictures so far. I literally have hundreds of raw files, so I won't be surprised if it takes me a couple more days to get through all of them. I also have to seperate "personal site" photos from the official No Brand Con galleries (for which I seem to be the default photographer every year). Don't be surprised if you see some of these on
4 color rebellion:

Addendum
Also, thanks to the marvels of modern television, we could have a Big Love marathon of the whole series (so far). YES.
