At this I am happy, they finally realized that that bill is a piece. I hate it, it destroys that which we are supposed to protect.

On a completely different note, the only republican I respect, and dare I say, even like, is throwing his hat into the 2008 presidential race...That's right folks, Rudy Guilliani is going to run for president.

Considering Hilary might very well be running for the Dems, I think I might actually vote republican just this once. Unless, of course, Russ Fiengold is the democratic nominee.

McCain isn't bad, and I'm getting to like Arlen Specter more and more (but he's getting up there in years). Neither one is given to hyperbole (at least not overmuch), which I respect in any politician regardless of party. Justified or not, I still have this perception of Hillary as a phony. More than that, though, I don't want the legacy of the last 17 years (and the next 7-11) to be one of the Bushes versus the Clintons ( ... )

Hillary stands a snowball's chance in hell. There are far too many raw nerves over Slick Willy's two terms. I'm not entirely opposed to Hillary, and I'd love to see someone besides the typical elderly male WASP fair we've seen so far in the president's chair, but she's a dead candidate before she even hits the ticket. She'd be a damn fool to try.

I'm not as enthusiastic about Guilliani, though something must be said for a man that can get to downtown Manhattan in fifteen minutes like he did on Sept. 11. The one Republican I hold dear, and actually voted for in the 2000 primaries, is John McCain. He's got the tough edge Republicans love so much without being a potential 'war president' or religious wing-nut. I'm not holding my breath that he'll run again, but if he did, he'd be guaranteed my vote.
