First off --

Laserdisc (and probably curry) party!

My Place

I have some sweet stuff on LD, including And Now For Something Completely Different.

I also bought a PC-Engine (the Japanese Turbo Grafx 16) card/CD combo system. It'll be good for Famicom Dojo, but also for the titles I picked up -- two of them being Chou Aniki and its sequel Ai Chou Aniki. I also got a bunch of Disk System games, including copies of Castlevania and some other thing I'd heard was good but never played. Due to a cruel trick of fate, I got a game with the slip cover and -- for some reason -- a Castlevania disk that had Zelda on it. Now I have complete and good copies of Zelda and Zelda II as well.

I also got for my Japanese PS2 a couple of games from the Oneichan-series: Oneechamploo and Oneichampon (the first one being Oneichambara). For the first, think Samurai Champloo. The second, champon, is a dish native to the southern part of Japan (Nagasaki specifically). The last (well, first in the series) refers to chambara -- sword fighting. And that's what the game is... girls in bikinis fighing zombies with swords. I became interested after playing a Wii version that was only available on the last day of TGS. There is aparently already an Xbox 360 version out that was released in the States. One can only hope the Wii version will be as well. Once Vinnk sends me a copy of the first one, I can do a sweet Famicom Dojo segment.

Speaking of Famicom Dojo, I put up another Tokyo Game Show video yesterday. It's gotten 5000 views in under 22 hours. The counter seems stuck again, so it's probably more.
