Nader pretty much calls Obama an "Uncle Tom"
Wow, I've thought Nader was an astoundingly negative force in American politics for years now, that he had already utterly demolished his former legacy of activism. Now his legacy is crafting stupid fucking soundbites about how Obama's choice is between being an Uncle Sam and an Uncle Tom, and pretty much saying that he's the latter.
I'm not saying he probably didn't have some good points to make about Obama, but his essential mean-spiritedness totally drowned them out in an ill-conceived soundbite conceit. If he wasn't such an arrogant asshole, he might not have been so much in love with his poorly turned phrase, might have seen that it was spectacularly ill-considered.
What a prick. I hope he gets Bell's Palsy on the other side of his mouth, too, so we can be spared this sort of bullshit in the future.
