Got up at 5 AM to catch flight to SD. Got to SD and had to hire taxi to go to campus... it cost $38. Barely got there before the cutoff for late people and joined a super boring auditorium speech thing. Blah blah blah split into little groups to get to know people. For some reason there was a fatcamp going on there. ??? That was so random. Man, the apartments are going to be NICE. Brand new everything - appliances, walls, windows, the works. Yesh. Whatelse happened. Oh, even though we split into little groups I only made friends with this (Allison would be happy about this) Cantonese guy with a super Anglicized name. Can't remember his Chinese name. He's a computer engineering major and used to live in China 8 years ago or something. Oh I remember why I brought him up now. The lectures go so boring, I started playing tic-tac-toe and hangman with him. After even more lecturing in the auditorium about everything single thing imaginable, they took us outside to teach us this super spirited dance. Of course, I couldn't abandon my Harker background. Thankfully the new guy didn't dance either. We just kind of watched people doing the most degrading dance I have ever seen in my entire life.
Oh and we got cool Tshirts... after I filled out a survey stating how anti-spiritual, pro-abortion, and liberal I am. Also ran to the bookstore to buy CAPE book with professor and class evaluations. It's HILARIOUS. Someone wrote about the professor: "He's a great professor, but he should stop wearing sleeveless shirts. The arm flab is disturbing." I started cracking up in the airport when I was reading it.
CANT WAIT FOR SCHOOL TO START!! People there are really nice, and they have pool, ping pong, and fooooooooooosball tableeeee!
