The time has come.
Today (Sunday, January 4, 2004 at 5:35 p.m.), I leave Logan Airport on American Airlines bound for Los Angeles and then on to Sydney, Australia. I will spend the following five months studying in Sydney and traveling around Australia and New Zealand before returning back to Boston just before the beginning of June.
For those who have known about this, thank you for all the kindness and love I've felt these last few days. For those to whom this comes as a surprise, well, surprise. I will miss you all (those I know anyway) incredibly much but will have a fantastic time as you well know. I'm not sure how many marsupials I can bring back in my suitcases, but probably not enough to satisfy everybody. Likewise, postcards may happen, but I can make no promises. Please don't feel abandoned.
