I hope you all caught that conceited vibe from my title in more than one way.
My senior year: fun. It's great. I love it. And no - this isn't the Declaration of Interdependence Pt. 2 (aka Pt. 1 being my last entry). I'm just loving my life.
The question you're all dying to ask: why don't I write anymore? Well, think about this: what did I used to write about? Failure, girls, and fakeness that I shouldn't have needed to deal with.
Well, I came to terms with the fact that I'm not always gonna do as good as I could've done. If I do bad or underachieve on a test or something, life goes on. It just has to... So I don't dwell on it, or worry about it, because what's done is done. I can't change it, but I can do better next time. And that's a beautiful thing.
Females... hahah why do I find this so funny? Maybe it's that I'm talking about this, and maybe I'm laughing at myself. No, that's definitley it, ahah... Well people, you know me. As one person said to me recently, "you make no effort to get with anyone... you just don't seem to care." Wow - I really should've given him my LJ username and password and told him to write this paragraph, as he probably would've written it even better than I did. But would I ever give someone access to this textified gold? No. Of course not. But anyway, I don't need/want anything with anyone right now. I'm more than happy enough with everything now. Sure - there are 20 second periods every three days where I feel like something is missing, but for that 20 seconds every three days I am stupid. That's what I think.
As I sit here drawing my Senior Sweatshirt Design depicting a Blink 182-era Tom Delonge in an Uncle Sam pose, criticizing the student body with the quote "You are all superficial people!" in a severely intimidating font, I realize how much that is a representation of myself and my views.
Bullshit. haha
We all have opinions. They all matter to a certain level. To each other, though, most of them should be filtered out and thrown away. If you don't believe what someone is saying about you, then forget their views. That is when they don't matter. In the words of the great and extremely underrated philosopher Dr. Seuss, "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." Maybe that wasn't good enough to be Jimmy O'Neill's yearbook quote, but it was good enough to land a spot in my LJ entry. And that's saying a lot. haha
In closing, I want to offer some advice to live by:
- Don't switch friends every other week or year, because at the end of your high school experience, I think you're going to feel like you've lived the last 4 years of your life with a sense of emptiness in the pit of your stomach.
- Don't let the small stuff bother you, because it's only small stuff.
- If you're not having fun, then nothing you're doing is really worth it.
Those things may or may not necessarily apply to me, but I think they'd be nice for you all to consider regardless.
Cya later, sons and daughters. :)
