Have you ever taken the time to think about the correlation of life events? Perhaps I should clarify... those interesting realizations acquired along the way that fuel the belief that what we do today, will without question determine who we become tomorrow. Though I've touched on this topic before, I feel that I should elaborate a little further tonight. I suppose these thoughts bring to mind the always intriguing concept of fate. I was never one to believe in a predestined truth in life, however... time has a funny way of aligning events based on past decisions and in that, it makes sense to believe in fate as a certain self-fulfilling prophecy.
With that in mind, my interest is not within the visible/audible correlations in life... those which we can see and have come to expect daily. My interest lies in moments and events much less understood at any given time and place. Those moments where in an instant, you make a seemingly meaningless decision and within little time at all, your life is forever changed right before your eyes... and I can't help but be baffled by those who say there is no magic left in this world. The mind bending concept that the tiniest conclusion can lead to unyielding change in all aspects of your life, is something that is almost beyond comprehension.
But for right here... for right now... I will say this:
Though dark days have all but crushed our spirits, though life itself has given us reasons abound not to trust those we love (and certainly those we don't), though we've spent so very long shrouded in confusion and despair... there is "this", there is "you", there is "I", there is "us". In a world where nothing is ever enough, I couldn't ask for more.
Inspiration as always, comes in the most unexpected of forms.
