elspethdixon and I saw Sin City today. It was fun. The stylization was, of course, deeply cool, but the actual stories, characterization and everything else was all well done too. You wouldn't think that you could actually kind of like all of those deeply violent characters, but, well, I did.
Also, I got a new watch to replace the broken one. It's gold, you can see the gears, and you have to wind it! That probably shouldn't make so happy, but, well, Victorian-ness!
Anyway. elspethdixon showed me the first two episodes of Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years. It's really fun. Again, I probably shouldn't find Call, Mosby and Maddie quite as endearing as I do, but, well. After Gunslinger, I think I've given up on caring that I find characters that are vaguely psychotic, vaguely sociopathic, or just plain poorly adjusted cute.
