Yes, I do fear that dark abyss but, I will not spend 100 years before the mast. ;p

It's just the simplicity of knowing that the universe is so vast that nothing you do matters one way or the other. I look at it sometimes when I get down. Each one of those scratches is a GALAXY that represents hundreds of solar systems with thousands or 100s of thousands of planets..
