So there's been a huge influx of people over the course of the past few days-hello, people!-and while I expect that the majority will leave again when it becomes clear that discussion of sweeping social issues is less common around here than discussion of that cute thing my cats did, some of the new folks will probably stick around. Welcome! A ( Read more... )

Not actually a big fan of sweeping social issue posts (not that I don't care, it's just the outrage fatigue...) But, I followed a link and saw that you seem to have had the same sort of childhood as me, which is pretty rare in my current circles, so of course I had to friend you.

Looking forward to the cat posts.

"Outrage fatigue" is a very good way of describing it, I may borrow that term.

But yes, cat posts (hmm, posts about cats, not the scritching posts for cats *g*). You can look under the 'cats' if you want to look at older posts, and pictures (warning: iz kewt *g*)...

If you click the "photo posts" tag, you can see the cats in all their arrogant, insouciant glory.

Yes -- I came by because of the recent thingum (that's a technical term), but I read back a page or so before I put you on my flist. So no warnings needed!

Looking forward to the cat posts too. (And I hope the disturbing and stalker-y mails are in the past. Shiver.)

They haven't happened in a little while, but I'm still gun-shy about posting pictures.

It was sort of coincidence that I had just found you had this blog, right after reading Artificial Night, at the same time that several people on know on Lj linked to your last post.

I am all for more cats.

That is Lucky Jack, I got him after the son of a friend saw him being tossed out of a moving car into the woods. He is brilliant, and a little clumsy. This icon is his baby brother Falco, who was born to a feral cat under a cabin in Wisconsin. He is the most genial, charmingly dim, graceful cat I have ever known. The two Boys are madly in love with each other.

I came by because of your fascinating posts, and I also love reading about writing and social issues, but also because of the creeping suspicion that I know you virtually from somewhere.

Nice to meet you!
