Point the first: the winner of our random drawing "picture of your pet with one of my books" contest is...the_liz666! Please contact me via my website contact link within the next twenty-four hours to claim your prize. If you don't, I will choose another winner. Also, can I just say, I am SO VERY GLAD this was an explicitly random number-based contest? ( Read more... )

toby daye, late eclipses, requesting things, people make things, silliness, giving stuff away

I make pendants/necklaces from small glass bottles, and have been wanting to make ones with words inside them. Does that sound interesting to you?

I don't think it would work very well, since there are words on both sides of the paper, which isn't going to play well inside bottles...

I think that might be better for One Salt Sea, just so I can give people time to prepare...

Might check with naamah_darling. She does some incredible art and I know she enjoys your books. An opportunity like this might inspire her mightily.

I have images in my mind of portraits/silhouettes or places described in your books created using relevant words. I guess a collage, using text to create shape and texture.

but it isn't something I've done before, and I would feel bad if my attempt failed and I didn't have something to show for the gift of an ARC.

That's the beauty of having more than one of something meant to be disposable! Also, you require no postage, which makes you AWESOME.

Which would you like?

yay! an art project :)

I'd like An Artificial Night - it has some wonderfully dark passages and settings.
