Today? Well, Today Is A Day, My Friends.
School sucked today as always. We got disqualified from the Battle of the Bands because Max goes to Richwoods. That's cool, though...I'd rather be DQed than lose fair and square to a COVER band. Haha. What's a cover band gonna do with 20 hours of recording time, anyway? (Assuming they win the big battle at the Civic Center, too.) Whatever.
Practice was short. We talked to the neighbors politely and they allowed us 60 minutes of practice, which we spent working on a couple of new songs. So, it was well worth it, I suppose.
Payday!! I got a $50 bonus to boost my tiny check which resulted from only working 16 hours. The bonus was because Bob referred me and both of us get checks after my first 30 and 90 work days. That was my 90-day check.
After practice and all that, I hung out with Max and Emmy. Emmy got her tongue pierced, it's really swollen and huge. Haha. Cool nonetheless, I suppose. We went to Denny's to grub and then to Max's and watched South Park. Meh.
It seems like a normal day, but it feels a little different. I feel change. My friends are starting to change. I'm starting to change a little. Change is always good, and I'm getting a good feeling in my gut. Maybe.....just maybe....Jon will realize his purpose, maybe....Bey will come to terms, maybe....Emmy will be happier, maybe....Max will learn about honesty. Maybe. The future is not certain.
