Dark Side Demo, more awesome things, and some less awesome. How's that for a fucked up update title?
mtu_polock gets MVP for the day today. He had an awesome find, finding a link to someone's FTP site, where they had the demo version of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon available for download. How fucking cool is that? It's from where they played it in a concert in 1971, and someone bootlegged it, and now we hear it a third of a century later. It's kinda weird, because you can see what they changed before they made the final version. On the Run, The Great Gig in the Sky, and Any Colour You Like are all completely different, and there's a reprise of Breathe after Time, which from what I can tell just got assimilated into being the ending of Time. Though it made me realize how much those two have in common.
I also got the ball rolling on fraud raping the xbox guy today. By my count, I have until Monday until it's 90 days from the auction end date, so I've got plenty of time to get all my shit filled out, if the eBay people on the other end don't drag their feet about it.
Other than that, not much happened today. I went to my EE lab practical, and found that probably 60% of it was stuff that was NEVER covered in any of the labs we did. I had to rely on my EE stuff from high school and luck to get through the rest of it. They also had 10% of the total grade on it based on whether or not you would write down a list of suggestions as to how they could make the lab better overall, like we do on the course evaluations that we filled out like a week ago. I basically suggested that they make lab practicals where everything that's on it was covered in the labs throughout the semester. I had my Calc lab practical later tonight, though that went smooth enough. I figured out my total grade in Physics today, and the bare minimum I can get on the final exam and still pass with a D- is a very symbolic 51%. How's that for irony? I was a lot more worried, though 51% is just at, or maybe a bit above my exam average in the class, so it should be close.
Also, I got an email from the broomball rink staff people saying I've got a job for broomball season, and I sent an email out to my old boss at the plant in Mattawan, seeing what'd happen if I worked there over christmas break. So things are looking up today. I've basically just got my final project presentation tomorrow (today i guess, since the usual time I can make myself update this seems to be 1:30 am), the end of the tournament in Bowling, and a test in Institutions that I'm not prepared for, and then no class Thursday, and then just review sessions all Friday, and Exam week all next week, and I'm done. Hot damn. This is awesome. This is like the best I've felt in a while. Add to that the fact that I helped Polock with his Sound Design project for a while tonight, and fuckface Kern moved out today at home, and this is like one of the best days in a long time. What was I saying about not much else happening today? Must just be a habit or a reflex or something.
