It is utterly amazing what we as people do. The things we change to benefit ourselves or change just because we can. Things such as even a simple word. We, as people, with words, for an example, tend to bland their meaning, even add more meanings. Something that is "cool" isn't literally "cold" anymore. It's now "hip", no not "hip" as in your "waist", "hip" as in it's "in" not IN something, as in "contained within", but "trendy." Have we forgotten that words were made for a reason? Have we forgotten that since simple grunts, moans and howls were too bland in the beginning to understand, that we created the spoken word to communicate more efficiently? That these same words were given a specific meaning and that to add any other meaning would bring utter confusion to the world? I own 2 dictionaries and both have almost entirely different meanings in each for the same words. What words are the same, have blanded meanings. Words are no longer categorized under one subject and branching out to different, specific meanings. They are now one unified definition. As if the Borg have come in and assimilated Webster. Here's a great example I found online under egotist.

Heck, these days, I'd hate to be the loner who doesn't like socializing, about to kill himself from his drunk dad beating him everyday because he spends whatever money he gets on booze while the kid's out there working to help the family in high school because somehow, judging by the above logic, I'm a pretty conceited and self-centered person!.....Pure genius!
