Things are pretty sweet right now, for the most part. I had a really bad allergic reaction the other night. I was working in the market and a container of dehydrated soup blew up all over me - cream of mushroom, all over my skin, in my nose and mouth . . . needless to say the result was not pretty. I eventually made it home and showered, and after several truly spectacular rounds of vomiting I have been cured of what ails me. Other than that the job is going well. My name is getting out there and I have a degree of both popularity and a reputation as a hard worker. I also carry a box cutter (finally).

My girlfriend's car got totaled and she woud up getting a new one. It's pretty, and I drove it today while she returned her rental car - it handles well. She's doing really well. We got her to play a little bit on the playstation last night, and I think she enjoyed X-Men Legends 2. She's doing homework right now whilst I type.

The birthday-ing is over for me now. Kathleen was huge and took command of the party, turning it into quite the shindig. Everyone who went had a good time - especially me. I even got to see some old friends from high school. Kathleen got me the uber new edition of The Boondock Saints, Kingdom of Heaven, as well as a truly awesome poster of Beast (X-Men), new white socks, sheets, Halloween dishtowels, a crazy air freshener for the bathroom, and two toothbrush holders (one for razors). Will got me the game God of War, which he had promised last year for my birthday that he would get this year. One year in the offing, it is the most violent thing I have ever encountered. Nick got me a new DM's screen, Raul & Marta got me DND tiles to build dungeon maps, Chrissy got me some miniatures, Cara & David got me a new controller for the PS2, and my mom sent me a target gift card. There is also talk of pajama pants in my future. Scott brought me Maker's Mark whsikey.

Thanks to all of my friends who came to the party. You guys were huge!
