T-gives
Yo,
I'm home for Thanksgiving, with the red barn, the gargantuan dog, and the flock of chickens. It's Maeve's first Thanksgiving home from SUNY New Paltz, but she's come home a lot, so it's not as big a deal as it was for me. I guess that's a plus to going to school an hour away from home.
My world is an odd mix of good and bad. Good being movie-making and gained oppourtunities such as getting into BFA. Bad being a total lack of finances, and completed school work. Things should be alright though the goods outweigh the bads when you throw in the weight of priority and showable product. The film 2 screenings should be real sweet this semester (Sat. December 15th, Bill Bordy Theatre, 6-10pm [hopefully]).
I was wait-listed for LA. I really don't mind either. I've known from the beginning that I'd rather be in NYC, and I know that I'm going there after school anyway. I keep being told that I'm "East Coast" whatever the fuck that means. I guess I can understand, considering the way I was raised, and the things I will and won't put up with. Either way, if I don't end up going to LA, I don't think it'll be that much of a loss. I can always go there on my own, I can spend my last semester at Emerson continuing to make films (to show), I can really concentrate on finishing my BFA, and I know a shit-ton of people who aren't going either, all of whom, like me, are going to NYC after school.
Whateva. Presently: friends, family, turkey, beer.
