On the Horizon

Jan 30, 2012 00:35

So, in a mere week I will be appearing on TV.  We will be doing an original one-act by Portland Playwright Don Teeters, Low-Flying Vultures! 7PM Sunday February 5th, Comcast Cable channel 21, and Frontier channel 32!

Yes, that's also the Superbowl.  Whatever.

After that, I am taking a long break from conventional theatre.  Without a car and while trying to have a full time job and an at-home business, getting to rehearsals just isnt making any sense.

On Saturday, February 11th, Seams-Unusual and the Bloomer Brigade will be appearing at the Hip Happening Valentine's Bazaar!  [link]
And there's going to be a stage.  And we have been asked to do a runway show on the stage!  Stay Tuned!

The Portland Steampunk Film Festival is the next day!  Power Up (the Wheatgrinder Film I did costumes for this last summer) shall premier there!  [link]

And now the other news:

What happens when you take the improv theatre classes you took in high school, mix in a fair amount of the "let's pretend"-type imagination games we played as small children and put it in the woods like summer camp with NERF guns, padded swords and deep political intrigue?

Beyond the Aether is a large-scale experimental theatre game that will be taking place in the Pacific Northwest.  And our forums are finally up!  Please come make argument with me at www.beyondtheaether.com!

Right now I'm trying to take suggestions for keeping events "green".  But later I'll be ready to have some really meaty discussions about costuming appropriateness for the setting: A Victorian Colony is Lost in Faeryland

bloomer brigade, acting, steampunk, beyond the aether
